I have this problem.. It keeps genning the exact same world.
I just began running Dig Deeper and it's d16, so does anyone have an idea about what is wrong?
It's the first time I run into such a problem.. And I really want some different world to play in, and I'd rather create 'em myself, rather than download them.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how the custom world gen works, so I can't really use that

The "Create a new world now" is just doing the Large map worldgen. You can easily do this yourself. Just go to "Design new world with parameters" and use the default options. It'll create a new Large map for you. Easy-peasy.

You can do all sorts of neat things by tweaking the parameters, but you really don't have to.

Might it do that if you specify the custom world gen to use a provided seed?  If it's always using the same seeds, it will always generate the same world.

You don't have to download new worlds.  You can grab posted seeds and world-gen parameters from the forums for various player created worlds.  The forum is full of them.  That's a good way to start learning how to use the world gen on your own.
