Explanation on ethics?

Can someone be kind enough to explain in detail what each value for the ethics tags means (APPALLING, JUSTIFIED_IF_GOOD_REASON, etc.)? The wiki seems to lack this description, and it would be pretty helpful in making civs from scratch. Post examples too, if possible.

I use basic dictionary to translate them, it was enough for me. I don't think anyone but Toady knows exact numbers of likeliness for actions defined by these.

Toady has weighed in on this in the past: here. The math gets a bit complicated, because it's not just a linear comparison.

Ever since Search saw me with Yahoo, she has been everything BUT friendly...

Anyways, thanks for the link. Why isn't this on the wiki yet? As I said, it'd be pretty useful.
