I've been digging and digging and digging, looking for gold. No luck. Especially annoying as my Mayor/Trader has a Rose Gold fetish, and I have to keep begging it off the caravans.

Found just about every other type of metal, though; even enough aluminum to make a table for the King, if s/he ever shows up. Found tons of coal, flux and iron right off the bat; nice to be able to jump straight to steel armor.

Also, my jeweler is working on making the ultimate gem-encrusted statue. Well, as far as something originally made out of cheap rock can be ultimate.

I'm even working on a megaproject, building a Large Pointless Arch across a small stream valley. Usually I've gotten bored by now and restarted.

Just got my Mayor from Proficient to Legengary Appraiser in one trade - about 70k dwarfbucks given to caravan, 50k bought.

EDIT: and a couple minutes later, a programmed cave-in mine killed 6 goblins, made about 20 uncouncious and made 8 fall in cage traps.

I've given up on finding a better mod than Dig Deeper. They just don't exist. Relentless Assault is pitifully slow, I've gone four or five years before a single frogman siege, even vanilla goblins start ambushes before that, and goblin ambushes are far more dangerous. Dark Dwarves is fun, but while Dwarf sieges are powerful, they aren't as dangerous, frequent, or threatening as Orc sieges, and the new smelter reactions feel imbalanced. Legendary Lands is awesome, but laggy as hell, I think The Captain tried to install a little too much cool into his mod, fortress mode starts lagging two immigration waves in and adventure mode takes 5 minutes per encounter to load. Kobold Camp just isn't my style, if I wanted to play with less technology I'd do it with dwarves who aren't quite so buggy (never could get my kobold hunter to pick up a damn bow).

Just checked my prison cells, there were 10+ dwarves drinking from the 1 tile stockpiles inside each cell instead that from the main one. Odd.

EDIT:
Well, this fort is getting reallyinteresting, maybe FUN too briefly. 4 dwarves drowned in my swimming training program, 4 and a baby died during the siege. Smell tantrum spiral. I got a paesant throw one tantrum (the very first since i play) but calmed down in a couple seconds. Luckee.

EDIT2: So that's why my frame rate is so slow. I got 122 animals, 80+ of them are dogs. Only brought 2 on embark and about 5 from immigrants. *beep* Initiate pet killer machine *beep*

EDIT SPREE: And I got possibly the biggest refuse stockpile ever, 419 counting bones, skulls, shells and corpses.
367 of that are turtle shells lol. And I got 1 fisherdwarf, still saying "nothing to fish here".
And most of my furniture is decorated with bone; my legendary bonecrafter is working non-stop from more than a year.

SHOULD I STOP EDITING?:
my seeds are leet. Completely random.

I'm getting an awful spam of "Urist Junior Child cancel store owned item: item inaccessible".
I'm probably surely gonna kill him ASAP
