Fall 250, Stalf Dwarven Expedition Caravan departed...

1st Granite Spring 251

   Stalf Dwarven Expedition Caravan.

Report: We have found a interesting location on our expedition through the continent. We are going to set up camp here for the time being. We have surveyed the area and found exposed lava. This area looks rich in minerals and stone. Our miners are currently digging out a shelter in the mountain. Our supplies should hold out for the time being.

17th Granite Spring 251

Report: Tapped into the Magma source. It will be fueling our furnaces and smelters soon. Found plenty of stone so far in expedition mining. Obsidian is very plentiful in the area. We have a workshop being built and will soon start on quarters for the men and women we have so far. We sent an emissary back to the Mountain Home to give them our location and safe arrival. We have found a brook down a bit on the mountain. Our stocks are still plentiful.

13th Hematite Summer, 252

Report: Our stocks are stronger then ever. We have made great strides in digging out a suitable place for our people to stay. We have made contact with those elves. Been a few thieves around but we are in the process of training men to defend our fortress. The magma we found is proving very useful. We now have a main entrance into our fort. It is protected by cages and lots of sharp objects produced by our own metal smiths. Everything is looking great for the future. Hopefully we won't have any hostile contact for a while, but those elves are pissing me off. Might have to dispose of them eventually.
