Neither definition of "Overboard" is in the Dwarven language, for entirely seperate reasons.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

"There is no such thing as 'overkill'; only 'margin of safety.'"

A motto of mine, but it seems very dwarfy too.

I was looking at that map for a bit thinking "What ballistas?".  Then I suddenly found myself thinking; "Oh.  Those ballistas.  meep."

You need some in the north to help defend against those nasty sea critters.

Overboard? You've only got one side protected! What happens when the whales come?

Overkill just means they're dead. Can't get much deader than dead, unless they're undead in which case you have to make them more deader to get them to stay dead.

I pity the megabeast that tries to siege that fort though. Makes a few squads of marksdwarves look like an amateur defense.

My personal definition of overkill (best used for game purposes) is when ammunition, troops, or other resource expenditure is ultimately greater than what is looted or protected in its use.

Of course, in dwarf world, nobody cares.

Overkill is when your magnificent drowning chamber ends up flooding your fortress.
Otherwise, anything is fair game.

Build a row of catapults behind the ballistas, then you will have reached "over-awesome"

Catch and enslave goblins.  Give them [PET] and asign them to the siege operator labor.
