No like, literally, "Top Friends". It's something integrated with facebook, and you have to pick them. I think.

Duh, they don't want to use large numbers for their random number generators (because it makes it less random), so they use the RNG to pick a small group, then just use the RNG to pick from the smaller group.  It's more random that way, in the long term. Or something.

Ha yeah, I know. It's just that lots of old friends have Myspace, but not Facebook, and it's really the only way for me to keep in contact with them.

It's not completely random. I'm not sure what it is, but there's some algorithm to pick out the ones that seem most interesting to you. I think on your profile, it picks out the friends you rarely talk to (to remind you to talk to them). I think it takes the ones that are least visited.

On other people's profiles, it takes the ones that you'd be most interested in. Like people who like the same things as you, or friends who are friends of many other friends.
