Different languages for different civilizations
« on: October 12, 2009, 05:42:51 pm »

Hello, there's my suggestion:
My idea, is that the languages shouldn't be a raw file, but be random generated during world gen, every civ should have its own language(some civs can have the same language).
It's a simple suggestion, but I think that's hard to implement.
The game realism will be boosted if it gets implemented.

Oh! This idea is already one of the dev goals!

Someone wrote a random language generator too.

Another odd thing would be a system of learning languages, you just know your civ language, but need to learn another one, you read dictionaries, blablabla, if you din't understant the language, you will only receive the mensage:
Afaa sdfa Jium mawrr tapjfg...
Would be fun a language learning system

Even better, make it so the player actually has to learn the language instead of just the character. :D [/bad joke]
