Something interesting
« on: January 25, 2010, 08:08:30 am »

I know this may sound riddiculous but my captain of the guard was fending off an goblin ambush and i like to pause and see what injuries he inflicts and i looked because he was injured and bedridden the whle time he was using a wooden sword.

He lopped off a goblin's arm with a wooden sword!

These a'int your mommas wooden swords, These Dwarven made ones got them some EDGE.

In all seriousness tho, anything wield-able is considered to have a "blade" type edge, even an idol! ;D

.... I caught a snatcher with a child once that way.  Bloody odd having a cage with a thing holding a small cage inside, with a child inside that.
Yo, we heard you liked captives.  So we put a cage in your cage, so you can capture while you're capturing!

They also breed like rabbits. Which helps a lot, when you have an army of angry dwarves stomping on your faces.

I think it's because unlike humans, who bring food and cloth and stuff, and dwarves, who you can request raw materials from, elves just rarely bring anything useful.

Also, they eat people.

Why to hate elves:

- They usually bring you several fucktons of cloth and ropes while trading
- Even if they bring animals, they probably are severely injured
- They impose you a limit on how many trees to cut, and will refuse to buy any wooden item
- Yet any elven item wich is not cloth nor an animal is made out of the same wood they forbid you to cut
- They don't even buy elven wood back
- They are fucking elves. This one is enough for me just alone.

Do dwarves have a "blood eagle" ritual?

No, just a "drop 10 z-levels into a pool of magma" ritual.

(I just realized that when the new version comes out, the blood eagle will probably be possible in adventure mode. It's still horrid, though, but I guess whatever works best...)
