Fortress Layout Changes

Basically, how do you change your fortress layout when you use different mods?
I tend to go with mouse-designated warrens when playing in kobold camp.

Edit: I just got a kobold caravan, a goblin caravan, and a human siege at the same time. Poor cutebolds.

In my current Mesozoic Dwarves game I'm giving my mountain fortress a vertical outside wall made of glass, and every floor will have a row of butcher shops next to the glass wall, which I intend to keep very busy. I imagine that if I display before the world a giant cliffside of dinosaurs being butchered by dwarves (and throw a couple down off the top every so often), it'll intimidate the local wildlife and keep the *really* nasty ones at bay.
