Removing corpses from cages
« on: October 03, 2009, 12:12:13 am »

A human invader got sliced up by a weapon trap (10 green glass serrated discs thank you :D) and lived long enough to get in a cage trap.  Now I can't figure out how to get his corpse back out! :(

Step 1) Build Cage in question some place
Step 2) Hook up to a lever
Step 3) Pull Lever
Step 4) ???
Step 4a) waitwaitwait, we actually know this one. pull stuff you want out
Step 5) Profit.

at least I THINK that should work >_>; it works for beasties...

Tried twice, didn't work... instead of making the cage vanish, it deconstructs the cage as a building, and the cage and one of the mechanisms used appears next to where the cage used to be.  Dead body is still in the cage.  Maybe I should drop it from somewhere?

Did you try dumping the contents with d-b-d? (Don't forget to use k to not dump the cage.)

Yup, dump the body, just go into the cages inventory, (with t or k I cant remember off the top of my head) and just dump the body, works with bones and seeds from training large creatures too.

Also, reclaim the corpse from the dump so it gets carried to the refuse pile.
