I don't suppose someone could make another 3d visualize of the TRIBUTE? It sounds grand but Phrog's expired. Or something. *continues reading*

edit: Ne'ermind, found one.

If you run quickly, you can even download the save itself!

I would love if the updates and fan art were compiled somewhere to save scrolling through the threads.

Although, there's interesting and/or funny stuff in the thread as well...it's just that Verviticus' douchey comments are getting on my nerves.

Edit:
OK, just finished. Awesome. Does anybody understand how that "room outside space" was created? Was it just really hard to find or off in some obscure corner? If so, wouldn't there be a conspicuous tunnel leading there?

I'm not sure how they did it, but for me, it'll be hidden in plain sight.

Say, a large dining room with lots of tables. 1 table covers the whole place. Your hidden room is defined from another table, with the same designation. You'd never see it unless you look very closely, for every square there is.

I don't think it was a "room" in that sense, I think it was literally a physical space that was dug out, but nobody could ever find it.

Well, the were so many tunnels leading off incospicously, with corners and what not, old mining veins and everything. One of the people had started to build a "backup" fort or something, but only finished one room and a bit of furniture. With the maze of tunnels the way it was, following them couldnt lead you there - you had to actually know where it was. And actually, it was pretty close to were the view starts. But with that big a map, that many random tunnels, and that many z levels, its not terribly surprising.

Just finished reading it. WOW. That has got to be the most awesome DF story ever. It even has an amazing ending! Holistic Detective and Trailmachines ftw!

Current LP Syrupleaf is getting pretty good too. Jazzimus Prime's updates are excellent.

I saved the thread to my hard disk but I don't know when I'll be able to cut it down to bite-sized pieces.  I'm being zerg-rushed at work at the moment.

Do we have anything close to its scale here on the forums?

(I haven't read Sparkgear but from what I hear it may be close).

is there a late era DFMA for this anywhere?  Not really interested in going through page by page and looking at the pictures, but would like to check it out.

Too bad SA's insane password policy means I lost mine more than a year ago, might even be worth logging in again to check out the current lp otherwise...

The updates from Year 5 (by Royal W) seem to be missing all of their images, linking to images with filenames like "1-Phrog_working." and "5-Home_run!." compared to the "2-Screen14.jpg" and "1-36_mason.png" style filenames seen in other updates.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Yes. Sparkgear is very close. Especially the later incarnations.
