What's a Chuseok?

A salted fish covered in ice, then fried on a rock that is heated to 200^o celsius.

Everybody I know (including people in my home country) are all saying "What's a Chuseok?"

Chuseok is Korean Thanksgiving. Three days of staying in your family's home eating rice cakes, beef and Korean spaghetti giving thanks to your ancestors and the for the harvest.

Or if your a foreigner like myself it's "Sweet! Four day weekend."

 I know much too much about Korean cuisine. And dammit, now I want some songpyeon!

 Also: For some reason everybody hates kimchi, or more specifically baechu. Why the hell is that?

A lot of people don't like it because it's fermented and/or spicy. Half the teachers I know love it, and the other have hate it. I had to give eating it up, because I was starting to get weird Kimchi cravings. You know it's not good when you wake up and you think "What do I want for breakfast? You know what? I feel like kimchi."

Some kimchi is better than others. Kimchi from my school is pretty crap, where as the stuff you get at restaurants tends to be better. I like the baechu better than the other stuff. Cucumber kimchi really isn't that good.
