I'm going to guess that this is an artifact-quality piece.

This is a GoldenSpider silk Cloth, all workmanship is of the highest quality.  It is embroidered with GoldenSpider silk tassels and is adorned hanging bands of GoldenSpider silk.

My favourite part of the article:

Brackett has perfected a method of shooting leaping fish with a bow from a boat moving at high speed.

Make it a crossbow and I think we could make Chris Brackett an honourary dwarf.

I'm talking about the bronze colossus. It's supposed to be made entirely of bronze.
But really he's just a softie inside. They all are really. When megabeasts come to your fort you never welcome them inside and give them a hug, do you. You heartless bastards...

That does bear a striking resemblance to DF...

And if the spiders in the factory begin to disappear mysteriously, it might be because, in Madagascar, one of the poorest countries in the world, it is believed by some that eating these spiders, fried, is good for the throat or just good eating.

I wish I could do that. We seem to have hundreds of spiders outside our house, who all produce webs as though they are in competition.

And spider can be considered a delicacy. Actually, everything is a delicacy. To dwarf, man, beast or fish. Especially carp.
