NO_FEAR horses still run away?

After dealing with a bunch of humans running away from my champions when they are mounted, I put the [NO_FEAR] tag onto the Horse and they're still running away! Is it simply because these horses are still on the map and haven't had the tag applied yet?

are you sure it isn't because the humans are scared? i'm pretty sure you have to save and quit for changes to take effect if that isn't the case. if you're changing existing raws you don't have to make a new world in case you're wondering.

I saved and quit before I changed the raws. And 2 Champions vs 8 Humans shouldn't have the humans running on site, should it?

I think most sentient creatures run when a sufficient amount of their guys are killed. Mobs with the FLEE_QUICK token or whatever it is do so faster. I'm pretty sure it's the humans running, unless you haven't hurt them yet, in which case weird.

I think it could be that. I did wipe out a squad before modding. However the humans didn't appear to be running before my champions showed up. Maybe I should add a [liKES_FIGHTING] token?

Or maybe you could slow the humans/horses down so you could catch them.

let me clear this up...
No fear tag makes siegiers retreat at higher casualties.
The Likes Fighting tag makes them seek out fights, same as large predator.
Benign makes them avoid enemies, or was it the main races?

 In my experience, NO_FEAR also allows dwarves to work even when they can see a monster, which is extremely helpful when you need a wall built in a pinch.

In my experience, NO_FEAR also allows dwarves to work even when they can see a monster, which is extremely helpful when you need a wall built in a pinch.

But at the same time, you might want the fear for when they see a monster so they actually try to escape.

Sometimes, fear is the appropriate response.

The thing that confuses me about dorfs is this. Dorf 1 dies in an avalance or somesuch. Dorf 2 is friends with dorf 3 and dorf 1. Dorf 2 berserks because of his friends death and kills dorf 3. also a friend. W. T. F.

I just realized, after adding the new body parts to the other races, that I have an entire squad of dwarves with a shield in each hand and swinging their axes with their penises. There's nightmare fuel for those goblins, in more ways than one.
