[DEEP] tag
« on: September 13, 2009, 11:25:42 am »

What exactly does this tag do?

The reason I want to know is I have a considerably number of metals modded into my version of DF, and embark weapons are always made out of this, making them (usually) ridiculously expensive.
The other problem is invaders and such showing up clad in full *Awesomite* plate mail wielding weapons made of the same.

From what I gather, adding the [DEEP] tag to the new metals should fix this, but what else will it do?
I don't want to be digging up 4 different deposits of HFS quite yet.

Added to metals, it makes the metal unavailable on embark and to caravans.  Added to stone, it does that and makes the stone appear around HFS pits.

And this is how tinned food was invented.
Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

So it will only cause HFS related stuff if I add the tag to the stone / ore?
Thanks  ;D

But then, in some pits, addy will be replaced with microcline.  Completely.
