So, a 'Swarm of Bats' in its singular form can be disrupted and disperse into a ton of individual bats? That makes sense. It was on my top floor next to my entrance and there were like 20+ bats in a 30x30 area. Fortunately none of my dwarves were afraid of bats. :D
