a little help on my first mod

can you guys look over my mod please? I want to make a new civ, the Draconians. they're half dragon, half human, alittle dwarf.

(BTW, I also modded rhesus mcaques to go nuclear. I look forward to my next embark.  ;D)

So far it looks okay. If it doesn't work, try mission0's Rise of the Dracons mod. It's in the first post of the Community Mods and Utilities list on the top of DF Modding.

You gotta add [CAN_LEARN] and [INTELLIGENT] and probably [CAN_CIV] too, and also if they're a civ-forming you'll probably want to remove [PET_EXOTIC]. And [FIREIMMUNE_SUPER] does NOT imply [FIREIMMUNE]. You need to add an attack tag too(and for weapon it has to have ATTACKFLAG_WITH).If they're going to be fireproof you might also want to give them a [HEATDAM_POINT] tag to make them heatproof, and you can also give them some some special bodyparts(tails and claws?). You may have done it on purpose because they're part-dragon, but [Size:10] is pretty big for a part-human, part-dwarf creature. And since they're dragonlike, you may want to remove [HOMEOTHERM:10067] to make them coldblooded, or at least reduce it, since that's between 35-40 degrees celsius.

your entity file has "[CREATURE:HUMAN]"

There's no point in having them be able to use whips, bows or pikes since assignable weapontypes are currently hardcoded (i.e. they will theoretically be able to pick up and gain levels in them but military dwarves cannot have them assigned to them). Also, if you have active season set as summer, that's when the caravan will show up. If you are taking dwarves out and replacing them with these guys, you should switch active season to fall. Otherwise, winter is probably safest in terms of not competing with other caravans (only goblin caravans will come in winter and they are very uncommon).

Perfect! this is running better than I hoped! thanks! ;)

Is there any way to mod only one tile of the graphics? I'm currently using { for my Drakes, but I would like to have a custom tile for them. (I'll probably do the humans too, but not the elves. They don't deserve it. Cloth. Hurrumph.)
