The massive anti-climax that occured in the Battle for the City Centre can only be described successfully through an RP medium.
It is midday, and the sun is beating down on the soldiers, arrayed in the city centre. Sweat is running down their brows and the mounting tension of what is to come is niggling in the back of all their minds.
The roar of engines approaches from the west. All the men tense a tiny bit, and many re-check their weapons and armour.
The first car appears over the horizon, it is swiftly joined by many others, all hastily rushing forward towards the Centre. The men check their targets, and set weapons to "Full Auto".
As soon as the vehicles enter an accurate range, General Strife's men, through either superior training or a rush of addrenaline, all fire at once. The Rockets quickly destroy most of their vehicles, as well as their unfortunate passangers.
The other soldiers, realising the potential of dying in a fiery ball of death only increases in their cars, hop out and continue moving forward on foot. The HMGs and LMGs make mincemeat of the soldiers. Any stragglers were picked off by the riflemen.
There is a silence, then the men disperse, returning to their respective bases.
Just to clarify: Strife's men killed everyone before anyone else could take a shot.
