nope, they are infinite. You can 'plug' em though, or breach em using pumps and walls

If you're on a temperate or colder map you can channel layers above the aquifer in a 5x5 grid and it will freeze in winter. Then channel out a 3x3 area, line the outside tiles with walls, and have a staircase in the middle.

Or just tunnel through the magma layer.


If it's flooding your fortress.... build some walls.
