Funny Mod Idea
« on: August 28, 2009, 12:05:17 am »

How difficult would it be to add Car creatures that randomly mauled people? It would be hilarious to see things like 'The Farmer's left arm has been broken by the Car's front right headlight!' They could randomly travel the same regions as humans do, and if possible, live near roads. Also, I DO NOT mean to make them the size of wagons or anything of the sort, just normal creature tiles of course.

This should be easily possible, if one isn't too ambitious. Let me see.

That's a rough outline, somebody better with body tags shold be able to do it better. This should be quite big, drop a corpse (rusty on the ITEMCORPSE tag)  and attack people bear,cougar,wolf-style in Adventure mode.

I'm reminded of a particular Monty Python sketch in which exactly this was happening...

I am a fan of Monty Python, but I do not know that sketch. Can you link me to a video?

...Why yes, I am now looking for my DVD of it so I can watch that scene again, how did you know? :o

EDIT: I couldn't find my DVD, so I had a rummage through http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB-1d9fM3OU
I don't know how to get rid of the http:// bit or the odd numbers at the end, sorry.
