Actually Negative numbers are to my knowledge Single Digit numbers.

And would work just as well as multi-digit numbers.  As liong as your maths was up to scratch.

...goes off to contemplate whether there's a good reason why Aleph-Null, Aleph-Prime, etc, would fail to fall out of the ((2n+8)/2)-n equation properly...  Can't see why it shouldn't, but infinities might just bend things a little, what with [squiggle]₀*2 being considered equal to [squiggle]₀ itself under trivial circumstances.

Try a group with non-comunicative multiplication (or abnormal inversion properties). That could mess with the (2*x)/2 sufficiently. Alternatively, try using a group in which addition isn't communicative (and try to avoid breaking your head in the process)
