Social Experience Notifications
« on: February 24, 2008, 07:06:00 pm »

It's great and all that all of my idle dwarves are talkin and making friends and gaining social EXP.

However, I don't care to be notified.  Could we have a way to turn this notification off?

It means that they gained an attribute, not skill.

As you journey to the center of the world, feel free to read the death announcements of those dwarves that suffer your neglect.

One billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the cosmos. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips, I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my veins. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk and free throw.

Then...why are my idlers gaining "tough" from talking?

And I don't remember, but I was certain they didn't have any attributes.

And sneaking shouldn't make you tough, just as smithing shouldn't make you agile.

smithing is more likely to make you agile than idle chatter with your m8

You obviously haven't met the right people yet.  I find a high amount of agility can be quite beneficial to one's self in certain conversations.

QFT

Although, it's seriously awesome to have a fort of extremely agile workers.  At 100 FPS they dart around like mice or something.
