i changed the entries for every civ species but mine to be [canciv][canlearn] instead of [intelligent]   so everyone sieges or ambushes.

and if you set your civs maxpop to 1, max sites to 1, and max civs to 1, then let the world gen for 100-200 years, then your civ still exists, and you can embark with it, but you dont get any migrants, nobles, king, or caravans.

i have 5 champs already in a pop of about 15 adults and 20 children...  two more are crossbowers that are nearing elite

i dont want to build things like a deathtrap or death leaver...  i already have a dining room with a mist generator, and a large patch of muddy floor at the bottom level...

Build walls all the way around your land area as close to the edge as possible.  build a roof over all land encompassed by these wall, but indent the walls someone on one or more sides to allow invaders to come up on the roof.

Pave outside these walls because you should have a parking lot.

On the roof of your entire playzone, build Dinseyland of Doom.  Depending on what is available on your map you may have four or more of the following.

Fall to your Death Land
Die in Magma Land
Exploding Booze that Kills You Land
Drowning Land
Where the Hell Did All Those Dogs Come From Land
Rocks Fall From the Sky and Smash Your Head Land
Innumerable Green Glass Disks of Death Land
Steam that Consumes Your Flesh Land
Automated Draw Bridges which Send You To Oblivion Land
Frozen in a Block of Ice Land
and Safari Land

Bonus points for weaving certain passages (or rides!) down (or up) through your fortress, for including hippos, for building a small meeting hall into the top of the Matterhorn, and for labeling your parking lots.

Be sure to put a beard on your water tower.
