Without uranium, where do they get their Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot Depleted Uranium Tipped 30 mm Bolts used in the anti-goblin Multi-barrel Rotary Crossbow?

Maybe the dwarves just use those Chinese repeating crossbows and, um, their bolts have been blessed by Odin or something.

...
In all seriousness though, Pitchblend/Uranium ore will be used along side Cobalt ore to color glass Green and Blue, respectively.

[Also, where the Thorium at?]

All this talk about Uranium weapons reminded me of this old thread:

WOTC Forums: Uranium sword

It's a pity the quoting formatting is messed up, but it's still classic.
Edit: Also, most of the arguments there apply here, which is really why I'm posting the link.

"How about I make the sword out of diamond to counter the uranium's softness?"

Lol.

Anyone remember the Diamond Weaponry Threads here?

I recall reading somewhere that granite is also radioactive. I can see dwarves growing 2 beards in granite fortresses as well, not just pitchblende.

Personally I think it'd be more traumatizing and ostracizing for a dwarf to have his beard fall out from radiation poisoning.
