Creating soil layers

I'm looking to change a constructed floor into a soil layer so that I can grow outdoor trees. Alternatively, I'd like to take that constructed floor, muddy it, change it from light to subterranean to allow indoor trees to grow.

Any utilities allow modding a light indoor constructed floor to either soil layer or subterranean?
