I don't watch television.

I only use it for On Demmand for the channels I don't get, like Discovery, BBC America, and the USA network because sometimes it has Monk and Psyche. Other than that, I stay away from it. Not that the internet is any more trustworthy of an information source, but at least I can surf several tabs at the same time and have it work.

While I already know this was talked about, teenage pregnancy probably also comes from the fact that some people make pregnancy pacts in high school.  I think they had something on it before, but I don't remember where.

I don't know. If you can be instantly gratified, I don't think that such a bad thing. Sure, waitings fun but getting something you want straight away is good too.

Instant gratification makes people impatient and gives them an undeserved feeling of entitlement, but more importantly, it has a hidden cost in terms of resource consumption because "instant gratification" is generally in the form of mass-produced, imported, heavily packaged, disposable products, which is not a sustainable way to do things.

I'm referring to instant gratification in terms of material products. If you want to have a good conversation with a friend, for example, and  then are able to immediately, that's instant gratification but it's not a bad thing.

Also, passing anti-smoking legislation that plays into the hands of big tobacco and lets them essentially have the government practice protectionism for them, is bad culture.

Translation: I'm pissed that cloves are illegal in the US now. Indonesia War guy, can we set up a black market liaison where you ship me huge crates and I sell them for exploitatively high profits and smoke them too? They're the only cigarettes I like.

I hate how people use completely retarded insults. Words like, "gay", "nigger", and "fag" are about as low as you can go on the insult scale. Only uncultured scumbags use words like those. I hate it, and I make it a point that if all my friends know never to say such words close to my being.

I also hate "whatever".

Perfectly fine with "lol" and its derivatives nowadays though. They've evolved enough to find a place in our vocabulary nowadays. In fact, I find a capitalized "LOL" expresses itself a lot more than "HAHAHAHAHA". It's also easier to type in a hectic match.
