some bear tag or somthing:)

Now THAT is a tag I'd love to see show up.
Bears with beards? Dwarves with bears growing out of their faces?

Madness!

I find the word 'somewhat' a bit overused, a smattering of words of similar meaning would be nice.
Otherwise I'm all for bearded toes. or bear beards. Moar boar, bear and beards ... also moar beer!

...and now we also know that female dwarfs don't have beard in DF.

No, no, I'm sure that's just a bug.

I don't get why are people so denial to everything. DF allows easy modding. In original DF even male dwarves have no beards, because tissue levels were not there, and it was ok. Just mod in a tissue level for your dwarven woman if you feel like it.

With all of the dwarven olivine loving recently, how long is it before we see Dwarf/Olivine Rule 34?

In the next version the beard tag will be present on females in the vanilla version, it will just be commented out. If you want it, you can activate it. Otherwise, vanilla female dwarves are beardless.

I always imagined female dwarves to look like Randie from this comic. No beards.

dwarven women would have moustaches, no beards. Think about it, old women have moustaches but no beards, so the no beard/moustache thing is already present in some women. Dwarves, being the hairy creatures they are, should just add to that.

Also, dwarf/olivine rule 34 has been done. I refer you to rule 34.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

I think the female dwarven beard being in their pants should have pretty much ended this.

Oh god... modding in new creatures in the next version is going to take forever. Not that I'm complaining though.

I'm sure there will be defaults. If you just want something to have claws and skin, that'll be easy. modifying 1400th century monks will be impossible.
