Best tower defense game?

And no I don't really want to hear gemcraft.

I'm talking high quality stuff,likely ones you can download rather than those tied to a website.

Ones I know off the top of my head:

-Gemcraft
-Pirate Defense
-NUD(by Sean 'th15' Chan,same guy who made Battleships Forever)
-Most of the ones on Newgrounds.

I quite enjoyed the Mario Defence one, if only because it is a bit different to the others (sidescrolling, forced to use different strategy each time).

Pirate defense is a bit easy once you get the hang of it though.

Though it is DEVILISHLY impossible until you do.

Unfortunately a lot of Tower Defenses are really a game of finding out what Towers are secretly a rip off. (In which case the Turrets in Pirate defense are the rip off since they do low damage, low speed, and bad range)

Honestly I want to stop play Tower Defenses with basically tower choices that are basically traps.

Immortal Defense is awesome.  The first, like, 40 levels are free, and that's easily enough time to get bored with it if you're going to get bored.  Plenty of hours and very good difficulty settings.  Interesting graphics, plot helps keep it going.

Plus, it's by a poster over on TIGSource, which is kind of cool.

Lots of very interesting gameplay manipulations as you get deeper into it.  Tower Defense isn't usually my thing, but this is pretty neat.

It's such a weird game, were you need to see how fast enemies travel over certain areas, otherwise you'll get boned.
