People do one thing and say the other all the time umi.
Oh yes, it turns out we're all actually gay for looking at porn, and that whenever we have sex with a woman, we're actually somehow having sex with ourselves. And since that is man-man it means we're gay. Somehow.

Next time you see her, announce loudly, "Bisexual!"  The go on to explain that that was the word you were looking for the last time you talked, and explain to her the difference.  I'm sure she'll really appreciate it and not at all take offense. :D

I'm surprised noone's taken a shot at Lucky Star yet.  I would do it, but I can't be bothered right now.

Anyway, she may be correct - sexuality can be a sliding scale, rather than a simple straight/bi/gay that most people seem to think.  It may be that she prefers girls but also doesn't mind sleeping with guys.  Or something like that.

But she claimed to be a lesbian which is an absolute at one end of the scale, a scale which bi covers the entire middle of. If anything she is the one being binary. It would be like me claiming I have a particle at absolute zero then when you point out it is vibrating I reply with "You shouldn't be so binary. An an absolute zero particle can vibrate as much as it wants. Ain't life grand?"

The only thing worse than people being looked down on for their sexuality is people getting all snitty because you couldn't read their minds and tell exactly where they sit on the Kinsey scale.

This thread violates the rule about sexually oriented topics.  I'm locking it.
