Just download the driver from the manufacturer's website or Cnet, and reinstall it.  That's all it'll take.

This, bolded for emphasis and truth. It's what you need to do. I'd suggest here or so.

Also, learn from this not to mess around with the windows registry. It's an arcane, interconnected mess left over from windows 95 that it's almost always best to stay away from without a map, a list of specific instructions, a dead chicken, the blessing of your local deity(s), and no less than three spells of wizardly power.

I just remember this as well. It scans your computer hardware than check against it's database of know drivers and then you can re-download it. It needs registration but it's free.

Facepalm.

You never, ever, EVER want to delete ANYTHING from the registry unless you put it in there yourself and you know exactly what it does.
