40d not saving

So, as you can read, the 40d version doesn't save the game. If i save, quit and play it again, the save isn't there. It's on WinRar, and it doesn't have any mods. It happens in all accounts of our computer. Help?

It's "on WinRar"?  You have to install the game by extracting the contents of the RAR to another location on your hard drive.  If you're using Vista, make sure to extract somewhere other than Program Files.

Sorry, but I'm not a native speaker, and how do I extract the contents of the RAR to another location on my hard drive?

Create an (uncompressed) folder on your desktop, open the RAR, select all the files in the RAR, and drag them into the new folder.
