Repeated crashing.
« on: July 19, 2009, 04:09:19 pm »

I was playing, then it crashed. Trying again, it still crashes. In case it was because of a specific action of one of my liberals I put them all on doing nothing, but it still crashes.

Save is here if you want to check it:

There is dead body a location "Away", I do not know if that is proper. Also, I think that body belongs to a hostage who for some reason joined a squad when fighting a siege and got killed by a swat team.

A side note, I got the game working properly on windows 98. Is that interesting to anyone?

What version are you playing with?

Did you have to do anything special to get it to run on Windows 98?

I play version 3.19.4. I played it on winxp so it has nothing to do with what I did to make it work on win98.

To make it work on win98 I replaced the pdcurses.dll that comes with lcs with one that uses sdl instead of the console (available on pdcurses download page) and added sdl.dll (available on their site) to the lcs folder.

Very good to know, thanks. People have asked about Windows 98 compatibility before and I've come up empty-handed on how to help them.
