Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Does this count as a chasm? Or is this normal behavior for a river?

That's what the headwaters of a river/brook look like.

That's just water, looks like the source of a brook to me, that's how the rivers start. I think this is also proven by it being just below surface level.(-1)

A chasm will have a # instead of the waves, and will always be at the lowest possible z-level of a map.

Chasms are just big holes filled with spiders, animal-men, and splattered nobles.

What kind of statues are your masons making, that you think they have "maximum exposure"?
(Full frontal ones, apparently.  With very short beards.)

Thanks.
Do traps hurt your own guys/animals?

That's just the headwaters of the brook (which may eventually become a river).

As for traps, they don't hurt friendlies unless they fall unconscious on them.

It means they're so used to tragedy and hardship they just don't give a toss anymore.

A tendon in the skull has been torn!
The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

I think those are broken arrows and as for the goblin, I guess his headwear saved him?

Edit: You don't really need to double post. I believe wood and bone do the same damage. Check out the DF wiki, you will find alot of answers there.
