The land of Varif if filled with war and cruelty.The people of the island fight for any land that isnt charred.The boime is much like Germeny in winter with charred land all over.The land of Varif used to be a pardise for mortals and nonmortals alike before the demon king summoned Ocade Val Lithos and sent him there with a army of demons.He chopped and burnt the great tree that nutured the land.Hordes of muardering demons wander the countryside

"Anyway, that's probably a speech I'll give when I'm in power.  Now, if you'll excuse me, your highness, you're going to die for bringing the demons into Varif."
"No, wait, Death-Cannoooonnn!!!"

The Demonking Ocade looked at the smalls army and nation of the liberation front and sent a army of SOF.

"Well...looks like you've brought doom to us all.  But I, Death-Cannon, the World's first cannon-human hybrid, will lead the nation into exile, as your army dies fighting the demons.  Hope they're good for something besides oppressing us."
The liberation front is leaving, with as many refugees as they can escort.  The king's army is busy being fried, I presume.
