Adventure mode indication
« on: July 04, 2009, 04:01:23 pm »

I know we geta travel map, a site map and a town map, but those bloody dwarven villages just irritate the hell out of me. I can recruit soldiers... WHERE? I can find that goddamn king...WHERE? etc etc. I refuse to go into another dwarven fortress ever again as an adventurer.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Well, it doesn't always make sense that you'd have an intuitive knowledge of where different people are.

I do agree though that its annoying, a better fix would be having more realistic fortresses, you could look for king in his throne room, warriors sparing in the barracks, mayor in his office etc. This is all coming though, one day.

It's actually easier (and less dull) to make my way round a goblin fortress than it is to go round a dwarf fortress in adventure mode. The only bonus is, if I sit on a dwarf fortress in dwarf fortress mode, I will never need to dig new rooms. EVER.

They should add something in the dialog to allow you to ask where someone is.
