You call 25 FPS slow??

I never worry about lag until FPS gets into the single digits.
Oh god abbeyverse.
So much stone that my pc suicides.
So many cats.

Ok, all of these comments make me extremely curious.

Just how much loose stone are we talking about here? And how many cats?

And here i go get sick of my forts when i reach 20 fps.

Maybe it's because i've set my init to 200.

It's probably not the loose stone that's doing it - it's the mined out areas.  More open space = more work for the pathfinder.

This is probably one reason Abbeyverse is so slow, actually - all those exploratory tunnels.  What happens if you designate them as low traffic?  (Though that would make pathing for diorite for the abbey slow...)

On the other hand, more stones means it'll take longer for a dwarf to select the closest stone when making crafts.
