You are correct. It is an ancient secret passed down by the inner circle that the original Shamwow is actually a small, towel-like dimensional gateway to the elemental plane of fire, capable of eradicating any moisture in it's path. Scientists believe its resting place at the center of the earth is the source of the worlds geothermic energies, and removing it would cause the moon to fall out of orbit and crash into the earth.
