Still no way to see combat going on yet? Supposedly combat reports will be native in the next version, it's been "green" status since around december. Please let me know if there are any updated "combat report" type hacks that work with 40d.

IIRC, there is an option in 40d to turn those on.  They are off by default since it spams so much so quickly.

Dwarf Companion is what activates combat reports, it isn't native yet.  Unfortunatly I'm not sure if the combat reports were ever gotten to work correctly in 40d.

 I know the version of companion I have doesn't do it but I have heard people talking about it sorta working recently, perhaps a new version of companion fixed it or something.  Anyway the Dwarf Companion thread is the one you wanna look at.

AFAIK no...there is no way to display the combat reports in the latest version. [40d+]

Thanks for the help anyway. I'm just bummin because DF has such a great combat system of gruesome death and wrestling holds and we can't see a bit of it.

The stuff that's green is not going to make it into the 40dX releases at all.  It's going to be in the next REAL release, but that won't happen for quite some more months.  I think the last word was sometime around December?  Give Toady your support!  It's on its way, slowly but steadily!
