Hmm I rarely get the click okay to exit page thing and thats usually from pop ups. Theres a good chance I think that its probably from the ads along the sides of the sites and pop ups. If it were ad ware and you still can't find it on your computer than either a) its not ad ware on your comp or b) its something your gonna have to take into the computer shop because its a deep diggen one.

My brother managed to get the stupid Vundo variant on this computer.  Took me bloody ages to fix.  A bit of HJT nuking with the advice of an expert on a computer forum and Malwarebytes (trial version) kicked it into touch though.

My personal response to virus infections is always "wipe out the OS, reinstall from scratch".

This is probably overkill, and is only reasonable when you're good enough that such things never happen anyway, but it's also the only way to be really sure.

HijackThis http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html

To anyone who still have problems with spyware/popups, download HJT above, and post the log here so that we may help.

You really aren't thinking like a dwarf.

If you think it is down too far, you move it up until it reaches an acceptable elevation.

Warning about HJT: It's unbelievably aggressive, and has absolutely no qualms about killing functions vital to your computer.  Seek expert advice before purging anything.

Huh, HJT actually nukes stuff?  I always saw it mentioned in reference to the very-informative output it produced, describing exactly what every damn thing running on your computer was.

It'll nuke stuff just fine, if you tell it to.

..don't. It's not safe, unless you know enough that you basically don't need it.

Warning about HJT: It's unbelievably aggressive,

Thats why you should post the log here!
Don't try and fix anything yourself with it, it's 10-100 false positives.

Yup.  Luckily I didn't find it out the hard way, but I know some people have.  Basically get someone else to look at it (and explain the symptoms your computer has).
