How do I find other civs and why does STA keep on crashing after I click on the make something button 5 to 6 times?

Look, Bien. STA isn't supported anymore, and besides, there are NO civs whatsoever because Toady abandoned this for DF. And anyway, the code was so buggy and such and such that it would have been nigh impossible to recover it and make something good out of it.

"Compatibility mode", dude. If he tries running it under "capatability mode" some terrible thing involving elder gods will probably happen.

I was like, ha, this looks like a pretty dumb and boring game. I was so wrong. Gentlemen, I have discovered true fun.

I remember there were different civs. You could start as a giant and trample over naked mole rat's village, or something.

You don't. They were from a previous version and got scrapped. The latest one just has a limitless wilderness with a few bears and rabbits here n there. Sorry.

Besides, you can summon some creatures, via the "magic" menu.

I think you can do it in the editors, assuming the editors are enabled in whatever version is up there.

Also assuming the editor doesn't randomly crash... I can't wait till df has fields  then my dream of a global evil field can become reality again and maybe actually do something this time...
