dwarf companion ?

 Do I just open the exe or is there something else I do , the first time I got it to work just by clicking and then all of the inhabitants in the world were shown , but now everything I try to use it it says the limit is out of reach , it loads everything fine but no one shows up in the listings when I refresh ? help please.

Should have gone in the actual Companion topic...
EDIT: You have custom language files installed, probably.
It will not load custom languages, and throws errors if creatures using them show up.

sorry about that I wasnt aware theere was a companion topic , thanks for the reply ,
I think I figured it out , you have to be in same area for them to show up
