Killing the Queen: What are the Effects?
« on: July 08, 2009, 04:19:57 pm »

Yeah. So in Adventurer mode, I was wandering around the Dwarf Capital trying to get into find the Queen (wanting to see the effects of an 'assassination' hurr hurr) and see her walking around above ground. I decide that becuase there are no more megabeasts (pocket world) I need to find my own entertainment.

So yeah, that was quick.

I come back later on another adventurer, and find the only difference is that now there is no capital. There was no collapse, no freak outs, no depressed dwarves. Everything seemed in perfect order.

Is there any other effects brought on by the death of the Queen?

And the Outpost Liason, I offed him, too.

The fact that there is no capital suggests that by killing the King, you put an end to a civilization. However, a Mountainhome itself has its own entity so there was no need for it break up. I expect if you start a fortress you will no longer be able to recieve the King/Queen unless they choose a new one. I assume overtime the Dwarves must choose a new leader (it happens all the time in legends mode).
