Some of my earliest memories are of watching dad play Star Control. Finding this sequel online, free, and fully-functioning, is awesome.

For those of you unfamiliar with Star Control, here's a brief description:

Okay, start out with Asteroid. You know, the game where you're a triangle and you have a crappy little pea-shooter than you blow up asteroids with? Now imagine that there's two players and they both have triangles. Now imagine actual ships instead of triangles, and with like 40 different kinds of ships each with it's own unique special abilities and qualities.

Use this as the "battle mode" for a slightly more traditional RPG type of game.
