Strange Worldgen - Map With a Theme?
« on: June 25, 2009, 10:11:15 pm »

I just genned a new world after being away from the game for a while, and noticed something odd while browsing around. In addition to a cluster of "Dark Dwarven Fortresses" near the mountainhomes, The Moist Desert, and a typically elf-infested Forest of Sparkles, there were several areas that seemed to follow a pattern. Let's see if you guys can figure it out:

The Mortified Teeth - A large crescent-shaped mountain range covering most of the southern hemisphere (and containing the aforementioned fortresses)
The Ivory Forests - A small woodland south of The Mortified Teeth, wedged into its inner curve.
The Hill of Cavities - A tiny area on a river to the east of The Mortified Teeth.
The Sweet Plains - An area west of The Mortified Teeth, on the opposite side from the Hill of Cavities
The Jungle of Smiling - Small region just north of the Teeth.
The Dune of Mouths - A small equatorial desert.
The Teeth of Dabbling - A small mountain range in the northwest.

That's right, my new world is Dental-Themed!  ;D

You see, booze is a parasite. It lives off dwarves and compels them to dig into the ground so as to create massive defences to protect it's self. It really shouldn't be called dwarf fortress, Booze fortress would make much more sense.

Now all you need is a goddess of suicide and you're good to go!

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

This calls for a dental mod.

Weapons are replaced with dental tools.

Sword : Toothbrush
Whip : Floss
Axe : Drill
Hammer : Teeth Remover.. thingy
Crossbows : Well, I don't really know.

Civillizations:
Elves : Teeth-Men (Trees are teeth, explaining why axes are drills)
Dwarves : Dentists
Humans : I don't really know :/ Humans?
Goblins : Cavities
Kobold : Some-Teeth-Disease

Agahahaa, I can already see it being mapped out.

Humans are the Team Crest ;D.

Kobolds are bad breath and Orcs are Gingivitis.

Crossbows, well, those could be mouthwash/soda guns.

The music can also be replaced with soft rock.

What can magma be? Baking soda?

This is a bicuspid bed. All craftdentistship is of the highest quality. It is decorated with hanging rings of molar and is encircled with bands of canine. This object menaces with spikes of enamel.

On the object is an image of Bomrek Vathezled the dentist and Ogo Ustrokustspu the cavity. The dentist is making a plaintive gesture. The cavity is laughing.

Now all you need is a goddess of suicide and you're good to go!

"The Pulpy Coven is a human religion of the Universes of Enchantment centered around the worship of Nenpe, a human god of blight."

...and tooth decay.
