games like df

hey is there other games around that have the same thing going for them , example the way your able to generate a world and read up on the history of this world from each hisorical figures perpespective , and then go in and alter the history with your own character and go back and read about about it in legends ?

then even further go into the world again and hear mention of your previous characters ??  thanks
