I recently downloaded a new version of DF from Mike Mayday's site. My (fully built) bridges (with walkable perimeters that aren't being removed) keep dissapearring and leaving the materials that were used to construct them by the side, almost as though I had designated them to be deconstructed - it's definitely happening and it's definitely not me deconstructing them because i'm very aware of it, it has happened about four times on the only entrance to my base, cutting off my supply chain and leaving immigrants stranded...

Is this supposed to be happening now for some reason??

I have never heard of this bug to be honest.

Are you sure that nobody is tantruming in the fort and blowing the bridge up?

Or is the base unstable?

aaaaah do dwarves destroy buildings when they tantrum? How on earth did I not know that! Seeing as my fort is tantrum central this seems a very likely explanation!

aaaaah do dwarves destroy buildings when they tantrum? How on earth did I not know that! Seeing as my fort is tantrum central this seems a very likely explanation!

There have been very stupid cases where dwarves have stood on a bridge, toppled it over and umm, fell down whatever the bridge was over.

The above just happened to me yesterday, I was getting tired of my fort whos experimental mega project didnt work, and my caption of guard crosses a bridge, starts to tantrum, destroys the bridge, and falls in the magma below. Strangely he stopped tantrumming right before the bridge broke down.

Serves him right... That fort had 12 frequentely used bridges that all spanned over my magma pit, the tantrum spiral cause my diseased list to be all flasy red-yellow.
