- Guardian Heroes (Saturn), 4 very different characters with tons of spells, special moves, XP gains...

Oh man, Guardian Heroes. This brings back memories of me running around with the mage girl crushing everyone against the side of the screen with a high level barrier spell.
I'd definately second this one, if only for how epic Valgar's Theme was.

I second TMNT: Turtles in Time. It's one of the best Beat em Ups ever. Period.

The remake is actually a bit worse... which is odd because it was supposed to be a complete copy.

They sort of remove many of the unique and interesting bosses and replace them with ones that are a bit more generic if I remember correctly

Yes. The arcade version is the only real version :)

So is it just me or is God Hand censored?  It says that thing about there being blood and gore in the game at the beginning, and it's on the ESRB label for some reason...  And the third trailer shows the scene where Gene loses his arm, and blood starts gushing out... but there's no actual blood anywhere in the game, and the closest thing to gore is the fact that Gene gets his arm bloodlessly severed, and replaced with the God Hand... and if you kill enemies with the Head Slicer roulette their head vanishes.

I wonder if the video they showed the ESRB had blood in it and so they got the rating, but then they tried to change it to change the rating, only for whatever reason they kept the inaccurate rating.

God Hand as a few things in there beyond gore that would probably get it the M rating alone.

The most gore I've seen was from demons jumping out of people.

There isn't any gore there either.  They just sort of appear over the body.  The point is, unless there's actually literally Blood and Gore the ESRB should not have put a Blood and Gore descriptor on it.  It's like putting a Nudity descriptor on a game with no nudity, or putting a foul language descriptor on a game with no foul language, or putting a drug use descriptor on a game with no drug use.  But I suppose this only serves to illustrate the idea I've always held, that the ESRB is crap.

I'm not really seeing anything that would warrant an M. Language, bloodless Violence and Suggestive Themes have only ever been enough to get a game a T rating before as far as my knowledge goes.  Also, isn't there Tobacco use?  What the hell were the ESRB doing when they rated this game?!
