I find temples worth destroying more, once had a goblin temple made out of horn silver. Needless to say my greatest export was ☼horn silver mugs☼

I once found a goblin temple made of solid gold. 7 z levels of gold blocks, about a 20X30 floor plan for each floor, with a 5 tile radius of floor tiles on the ground level, outside the temple. Took forever to disassemble.

...

I can d+n ENTIRE CITIES? AWESOME.

Are the humies oging to go hostile if I do that?

No, but the roofs might fall on you.

Deconstructing doesn't require any specific job, so does that mean nobles will do it?

Well in at least df_28_181_40 if you embark to over top of another town then theres almost garenteed to be a temple. Also if you wander around in adventure mode you come accross temples.

That's awesome, now if only we had a Goblin temple made of Cinnabar.

So you can't see blood stains!

Guard: "Oh my god! Did you just kill the high priest?"
Urist McAdventurer "'course not! He's just sleeping. Besides, wouldn't there be blood everywhere if I killed him?"

What about a microcline temple? That way, you wouldn't be able to see the adamantine! ;)
Also, any invaders (and probably patrons) would instantly lose their eyes for all of eternity. Need to wear these: 8).

Gaurd: "Well ok..." turns around
The spinning Left arm strikes the Gaurd in the head
The head flies off in a bloody arc
The Gaurd has been shot and killed

Nobles, children - everyone except babies and soldiers.

The downside is that since there is no designated labor, there's no way to turn it off for dwarves you care about.  Meh.

I personally find it funnier to redirect roads into your fort/death trap, just because of the amusing amount of confusion it would cause :P

Would a raw adamantine temple be possible?  If not, can it be modded in?

Possibly, but only by removing the [DEEP] tag from it, to give civs the chance to get it. Ive also heard that theres a glitch with the [PREF] tags that lets adventurers from certain civs start off with addy gear, so maybe.
