Quiver question
« on: June 05, 2009, 05:20:48 pm »

Are quivers listed as leather armor?

I created a crossbow and quiver, and assigned a peasant to Marksdwarf, but he wouldn't pick up the quiver until I switched him to Leather armor.

The wiki doesn't say anything about this.

Urist Austin, Axedwarf.  A dwarf barely alive.  Gentledwarves, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic dwarf. Urist Austin will be that dwarf. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Hmmmm - dunno. That is odd.

(They're stored as finished goods.)

don't know. My marksdwarves aren't wearing any armor atm and they are not designated to, but they still picked up quivers.

Maybe marksdwarves won't pickup quivers unless they need something else, like armor or waterskin. Quivers are the only piece of equipment with no toggleable setting (unless it is part of the weapon setting). Could also be because your quiver was newly made and marked for hauling, thus preventing pickup?

I never had problem with getting my marksdwarf to pick quivers, with or without leather armor.
