Can't remove orcs from my game

I decided that orcs are too much of a challenge and deleted all there text files and genned a new world but they are still there! Am i missing anything?

You must also delete compiled cache files from data/objects.

Just delete your DF folder, and "reinstall" the game. Takes like 20 seconds... ;)

No need to reinstall DF, just clear the data/objects files and the game will compile a fresh set for you from the now orc-free raws.
